Japan Memoirs

Kamakura

I had always wanted to travel to Japan and see the ancient sites and experience their zen-like culture.  In 2008 I fulfilled my dream and visited a good friend, Lisa.  She is American; however, her husband was stationed in Zama.  Instead of posting my adventures all at one time, I’ll add a new day separately.  In 2008 I was in Japan for 10 days and in 2009 I returned to Japan for 14 days.  In light of everything that has happened in Japan recently, I hope reading my journal entries will inspire you to visit this amazing, vast land.  Japan holds the most amazing, special place in my heart and I am forever grateful for the freedom it endowed within me.
